Man Stabbed Father-In-Law During Argument On Thanksgiving: Police
Police say both men were charged after an argument turned physical on Thanksgiving in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is accused of stabbing his father-in-law during an argument on Thanksgiving, according to police. At about 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, Hamden Police responded to the 1500 block of Whitney Avenue on the report of a domestic dispute involving a stabbing, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that Kareem Henderson, 37, and Rasheen Johnson, 23, were involved in a verbal dispute related to an incident that occurred earlier. The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation, at which time Johnson stabbed Henderson in the “left armpit area,” according to Smith. Johnson is Henderson’s son-in-law.
Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance and took Henderson to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment, according to Smith.

Johnson, 23, of Whitney Avenue, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and breach of peace. He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Nov. 23.
Henderson, 37, of Whitney Avenue, was charged with breach of peace. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Nov. 23.
