Man Stole $3K In Computer Equipment During Burglary: Hamden PD

Police say the man shattered the rear door to enter the business.

HAMDEN, CT — A Norwalk man is accused of stealing $3,000 worth of computer equipment from a business during a burglary last year, according to police. Hamden Police responded to Wooster Street Travel Agency, located at 1220 Whitney Ave., on July 6, 2018 on the report of a burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that Albert Pelletier forcibly entered the business and stole computer equipment valued at $3,000. Pelletier used a “cement footing” to “shatter” the rear door, according to Smith.

Det. John Marks conducted an investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Pelletier.

Hamden Police arrested Pelletier July 2 at Meriden Superior Court. Pelletier, 58, of Norden Place in Norwalk, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief. He was detained on a court-ordered $25,000 bond. Pelletier was arraigned later in the day, according to Smith.
