Man Stole Relative’s Vehicle After Shoving Woman: Hamden Police

The man is accused of forcibly entering a home, shoving a female relative and then stealing her car, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man is accused of forcibly entering a relative’s Hamden home, shoving a woman to the ground and stealing her car, according to police.

Hamden Police responded to a West Woods Road home on Feb. 9 on the report of a larceny, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that Edwin Landron forcibly entered the home of a relative. Once inside, Landron “shoved” a female relative to the ground, according to Smith.

Landron then stole the woman’s motor vehicle and fled from the area, according to Smith.

The female victim did not require medical attention.

Officer Rachel Zinni conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Landron.

On Feb. 28, Hamden Police arrested Landron in the vicinity of State Street and Ferry Street in New Haven.

Landron, 41, of Monroe Street, New Haven, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and disorderly conduct. He was detained on a court-ordered $10,000 bond. Landron was scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on March 1.
