New Operator Approved For Laurel View Country Club Banquet Facility In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Popular Hamden eatery Mickey’s Restaurant has been approved to take over food service operations at Laurel View Country Club in a move that officials are hoping will put the banquet facility back on the map, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports that the Legislative Council this week approved a bid waiver that awards operation of the club’s banquet facility and 19th Hole restaurant to the operators of Mickey’s along with a lease that gives it control through the end of the year.

Matt Menchetti, the owner of MDM Golf, runs the golf course and also held the contract for the banquet facility but it was never fully operational and that contract expired in January, according to the Register.
