Obituary: Anita Louise Palmieri, 51, of Hamden
Anita, who fought a long courageous battle with cancer, worked as a bank teller for Bank of America in Hamden.

Anita Louise DePino Palmieri, 51, of Hamden died peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford after a long courageous battle with cancer, and with her loving family by her side.
Anita was born in New Haven on January 15, 1965, a daughter of the late Robert and Louise Cimmino DePino, and had resided in New Haven for most of her life before moving to Hamden 20 years ago. She worked in the banking industry for 30 years, including as a bank teller for Bank of America in Hamden for the last eight years.

Anita is survived by three daughters, Teresa L. Palmieri, Melissa M. Palmieri and Anita L. Palmieri, and one son, Peter A. Palmieri, all of Hamden, one sister, Angela (Keith, Sr.) Massimino of Cheshire, two brothers, Ralph R. (Barbara) DePino of Northford and Robert J. DePino of Waterbury, one grandson, Jayson M. Portanova, Jr., her god son Keith Massimino, Jr., her former husband Pietro Palmieri, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson, Peter James Palmieri.
Anita's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. On Wednesday, everyone is invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
