Obituary: Ann R. Fleming, 68, of Hamden

Ann, who worked for 25 years in the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Yale University, enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Ann (Rinaldi) Fleming, 68, a resident of Hamden for many years, died peacefully on January 10th, after a short illness.

Ann was born April 10, 1948 in Waterbury to the late Albert A. and Jane M. (Antonelli) Rinaldi. She worked for 25 years in the Undergraduate Admissions 0ffice at Yale University. While there she was active with the union to obtain additional benefits for office employees. Ann was a devout Catholic and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden.

She leaves her husband, John Fleming, of Hamden, a sister-in-law, Joanne Betterini, and a niece, Kate Veras, both of Berlin; and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, John A. Rinaldi and her brother-in-law, Robert Betterini.

Ann was a loving wife, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered fondly as a warm, kind, and generous person. Ann was a talented cook and an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She especially loved her pet beagles and devoted many hours caring for them. Her favorite vacation spot to go with her husband and dogs was Acadia National Park in Maine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Blesses Sacrament Church. Friends are asked to go directly to church. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
