Obituary: Carolina T. Meneo, 98; Former Hamden Resident

Carolina T. Meneo, 98, wife of the late Michael Meneo, passed away in Cheshire December 30, 2016. She was born in Woodbridge, August 16, 1918, a daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Savo Troiano, and had resided in Hamden from 1959 to 2009 before moving to Cheshire.

Mrs. Meneo had attended Blessed Sacrament Church, and was employed by Kresge's and K-Mart before retirement. Carol enjoyed cooking, gardening and being with her family.

Mother of Jean (Phil) Carolla of Cheshire, and Tony Meneo of Guilford. Grandmother of Gina Addona, Lauren Cushman, Michael Meneo, Marisa Ouverson and Jillian Pinola. Great-Grandmother of Ashley and Amanda Addona, Francesca and Giana Meneo, Savannah Ouverson and Sydney Cushman.

Carol is survived by one brother, Joe Troiano. She is predeceased by her sisters; Susan Longo, Jean Zichichi, Rae Meneo, Joann Marcarelli, and her brothers; Michael Troiano, Anthony Troiano, and Pat Troiano.

Funeral from BEECHER& BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden Friday, Jan. 6 at 10:30 am. Friends may visit with her family from 9:00am – 10:30am at BEECHER & BENNETT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden at 11:00 AM. Entombment in St. Lawrence Mausoleum will follow.
