Obituary: Debra DeFelice, 59, of Hamden

She loved baking and made every Christmas cookie possible and was a perfectionist concerning the size and shape of the cookies.

Debra Kieslich DeFelice, 59, of Hamden, died Dec. 11, 2016 at Masonic Care Center. She was the wife of Michael G. DeFelice Sr.

Debbie was born in New Haven, Feb. 25th, 1957, daughter of Vicki Izzo Kieslich and the late Russell Kieslich Sr., and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She made every Christmas cookie possible and was a perfectionist concerning the size and shape of the cookies.

She enjoyed watching her son play hockey and traveled everywhere where there was a game. She was a true "hockey mom."

Debbie spent many afternoons with her daughter, watching her ride and care for her horse. She loved her children and would do anything for them.

When Piper-Ann came along, she was beyond excited to have a grandchild and loved picking out clothes for her and watching her grow. Beside her husband and mother, she is survived by her son, Michael G. DeFelice Jr (Jennifer Stephen) a daughter, Kaitlyn (Dan) Remick (DeFelice), step grandchildren, Dylan and Victoria DeMagistris and grandchild, Piper Ann DeFelice.
