John Frank Stein, III, 33, of Hamden, beloved husband of Kellie Kaminskas Stein, passed away December 26, 2016. John was born on May 6, 1983 in Bridgeport, CT to John F. and Georgia Stein, Jr.
John received his Master’s Degree in social work from UCONN and was a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He loved helping others and was an advocate of mental health and addiction services. John was a huge sports fan, but his favorite teams were the Giants and Yankees. John loved being with his kids and his family, especially during the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. He enjoyed living life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his wife and parents, John leaves behind his sons, Justin Madden of Virginia and Preston Stein of Hamden; his siblings, Scott (Lori) Stein of North Haven and Kim Phillips of Milford; his niece and nephews, Christopher and Kayla Gyger and James Phillips. He also leaves his dogs, Eli and Shadow.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 12 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, CT. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
