Mary was a teacher at Shelton High School where she taught special education and home economics courses until her retirement.

Mary Dickinson, 67, of Cheshire (recently of Hamden and Eastham, MA) passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at CT Hospice. She was born in New Haven; a daughter of the late Thomas and Annette Vece Dickinson.
Mary was a teacher at Shelton High School where she taught special education and home economics courses until her retirement.

After graduating with highest honors from the UCONN School of Home Economics, she volunteered for the VISTA program. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, post-it notes and doggie bags. She leaves behind many wonderful friends and she is survived by a sister, Margaret " Peggy" Taylor of Orange, CA; a brother, Thomas (Diane) Dickinson of Hamden; and her Aunt Marie ( Mickey) Laccone of Waterford. Also survived by nieces and nephews Dawn (Jess) Bingaman, Jamie, Lynette and Scott Swanson, all of CA; Tammy (Sean) Eaton and Wendi (Scott) Smith of TX; Christopher (Jenifer) and Michael (Jennifer) Popolizio of CT; and great - nephews Kyle and Connor Eaton of TX.
