Obituary: Norma DeNardis Cavaliere, 93, of Hamden

She loved art, was very creative and was a member of the Hamden Art League.

Norma DeNardis Cavaliere, 93, of Hamden, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominic Cavaliere. Norma was born in New Haven on February 27, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Pauline Petrella DeNardis.

She loved art, was very creative and was a member of the Hamden Art League. Most of all, Norma loved spending time with her family whom she loved, her children were her everything. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Rita’s Church.

Mother of Debra Klein (Dr. Richard Klein), David Cavaliere and John Cavaliere. Grandmother of Lauren Pisano (Mark) and Jaime Klein (fiancé Matthew Levinson). Sister of Richard DeNardis (Ruth), Robert DeNardis, Dorothy Palluotto and the late Gale DeNardis, Nina Onate and Leonard DeNardis. Sister-in-law of Gail DeNardis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will by Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday morning (June 2) at 11:30 in St. Rita Church and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following the mass in All Saints Cemetery.
