Obituary: Olga Mary DeCicco Penna, 92, of Hamden

Olga, who worked at the former Rock-A-Bye Children's Boutique for 20 years, was devoted to her family whom she loved unconditionally.

Olga Mary DeCicco Penna, 92, of Hamden, formerly of Maple Street, East Haven and Deerfield Beach, Florida for many years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Frank Penna.

Olga was born in New Haven on January 16, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Eleanor Vivenzio DeCicco. She had worked at the former Rock-A-Bye Children’s Boutique for 20 years. Olga was an avid reader, enjoyed all the old time movies especially the Godfather epic version and also enjoyed watching Law & Order on the television.

Beloved mother of Richard Penna (Gilles Thibault), Judy Harbinson (Gerry) and Diane Longyear (Joseph Sargolini). Loving grandmother of David Penna (Gina), Brittney Crocco (Marino), Cory Harbinson, Michael and Rachel Sargolini, Tara Longyear and the late Christie-Penna Sittler. Loving great-grandmother of Morgan and Olivia Currie, Luke Sittler, Franklyn Penna, Gianni Crocco and Sophia Sargolini. Sister of Inez Gagliardi and the late Clare Sabino, Mary Moniello, Theodore, Leo, Eugene and Angelo DeCicco. Sister-in-law of Lucia DeCicco. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins especially Alessandra Novelli and family in Italy. Olga was devoted to her family whom she loved unconditionally.
