Obituary: Richard J. ‘Ricky’ Hodgkins III, 30, of Hamden
Rick loved life. He adored his family, enjoyed gourmet cooking, walking his dog, Wookie, and playing high-tech video games with friends.

Richard J. "Ricky" Hodgkins III, 30, of Hamden, passed away suddenly on April 15th, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born May 14th, 1986 in New Haven son of Richard J. Hodgkins II of Hamden and the late Margaret O'Neill Hodgkins. He was a graduate of Hamden High School and Gateway C.C. from where he earned an Associate’s Degree in computer science. He also had attended Central CT State University.
Ricky was employed as a sales associate at Marshall's and also Men's Warehouse and also worked with his father in the family business, Hodgkins Photo. At one time he had served an internship at the New Haven Register.

In addition to his father he is survived by his step mother Phyllis Powell - Hodgkins of Hamden, his grandmother Frances Hodgkins of FL, uncles and aunts Peter and Karen Hodgkins of Virginia and their children Megan and Kelly Hodgkins and Wesley and Mary Bergazzi of North Carolina and their children Michael and Sara Bergazzi.

Funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. John’s Episcopal Church, North Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden on WEDNESDAY from 5 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Assoc. (PHA) 801 Roeder Rd. Suite 1000, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
