Obituary: Robert DeFrank Jr., 62, of Hamden

Bobby, always in good spirits and known as a jokester, cherished the NY Giants, spending time with family and the holidays.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Robert DeFrank Jr., 62, of Hamden died February 3rd at Midstate Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in New Haven Nov. 9th, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert & Loretta Farrell DeFrank Sr.

Bobby loved good food, the NY Giants, family get togethers and holidays.

He was always in good spirits regardless of health issues or numerous problems in his life.

He would suddenly burst into song and constantly was joking.

He was also very religious, reading the bible cover to cover.

He is survived by a sister Tammy Hartlove, companion and caretaker Connie Valente, nieces and nephew; Monica, Linda, and Joseph George, uncles; John (Marie) DeFrank, Richard ( Mena) DeFrank, Raymond (Marsha) Farrell, and his aunt Judy (Eusevio) Gonzales. Bobby was especially close to his sister Tammy, uncle John and cousin Ray.

The Valente family considered him family and will miss him. A special thanks to all his social workers & caretakers from the West Haven V.A.

Although funeral services were privately held, a memorial service is planned for the spring.
