Obituary: Ronald A. Aceto, 69, of Hamden
Ron, a U.S. Army veteran, co-established R&R Repair & Remodeling more than 25 years ago. Most of all, Ron loved his family.

Ronald Alan Aceto, 69, of Hamden, loving husband of Joann Monti Aceto, suddenly passed away at home on April 14, 2017. Ron was born on February 26, 1948 in New Haven, Ct. to the late Dolores Taylor Aceto and Frank Aceto, Sr. and was raised in West Haven.
Ron served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War receiving many medals and commendations for his service.

Ron and his late best friend, Ralph Tangredi, established R&R Repair & Remodeling over 25 years ago. Ron loved working as a carpenter. His skill and creativity were exemplary. A special thank you to all his friends at Whitney Center who inspired his creativity and made him smile every day.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his much loved children, daughters Melissa Aceto Daniele (Frank), of North Haven, Ct , Kristin Aceto Longo (Marco) of Hamden, Ct. and his son, Nicholas Monti Aceto of North Haven, Ct He is the beloved Papa to five loving grandchildren, Alessandra, Frankie and Elissabeth Daniele and Olivia and Giuliana Longo. Ron is also survived by his loving sister, Lynn Aceto Stern and his brother Frank Aceto Jr., both of Jacksonville, FL, many nieces and nephews and countless dear and loving friends.

Most of all, Ron loved his family. We are heartbroken. We are sticking close together in our grief. But we know we will all continue to get our strength from him. He will help us.
As Elissabeth says: "Whenever I'm faced with a problem or challenge, I say to myself WWPD, "WHAT WOULD PAPA DO?"
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wed. morning at 10:00 in the Church of The Ascension, Hamden. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Tues. from 5 - 8 pm at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis,TN, 38105.
