Obituary: Veronica Ann DeLorenzo, 49, Of Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Veronica Ann DeLorenzo, 49, of Hamden, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Bridgeport on March 31, 1971 and was the daughter of Gerard and Beverly Burke DeLorenzo.

She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. Veronica had worked as a drug and alcohol counselor at Wheelers and Rushford Clinics in New Britain. Veronica enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephew who she loved unconditionally, and especially watching Selena dance.

Loving sister of Cassandra (Joseph) DeLorenzo-Ihasz. Beloved aunt of Selena and Jonathan Ihasz. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The visiting hours will be on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (masks and social distancing required) Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ben Bronz Academy, 11 Wampanoag Drive, West Hartford, CT 06117.
