Parking Ban Issued In Hamden, Transfer Station Closed

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the area for an anticipated snowstorm.

HAMDEN, CT — A parking ban has been issued for the town of Hamden, effective 12 a.m. on Friday, March 10, until further notice, officials announced on Thursday evening.

The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.

The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any Town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.

Additionally, due to inclement weather, the Hamden Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, March 10.
