Person Shot In Hamden: Police

Police say one person has been hospitalized after a shooting Monday afternoon in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A person was hospitalized with apparent non-life-threatening injuries after being shot Monday afternoon in Hamden, according to police. At about 12:40 p.m. on June 25, Hamden Police responded to the area of Warren Street near First Street on a report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Anthony Diaz.

Diaz said investigation revealed that the shooting involved two vehicles and one of the occupants was shot and taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Diaz said the initial investigation indicates that the shooting was not a random incident.
