Police Make Drug Bust In Hamden

Hamden Police completed a lengthy drug investigation with the arrests of two men.

HAMDEN, CT — Two suspected drug dealers from New Haven were arrested Thursday after police say one of them was found with about $1,500 worth of drugs in Hamden. Police concluded a lengthy investigation on July 5 with the arrests of Darrell Streater and Keith White, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Police had secured arrest warrants for Streater and White for selling drugs.

Smith said Streater and White were arrested in the vicinity of 432 Shelton Avenue. Streater was in the possession of 28.4 grams of cocaine and 6.3 grams of marijuana, according to Smith. The street value of the drugs is estimated at $1,500, Smith said.

Streater, 49, of Summit Street in New Haven, was charged with sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance. Streater, who was detained on a $10,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 19.

Keith White, 40, of New Haven / Hamden Police Department

White, 40, of Read Street in New Haven, was charged with two counts of sale of narcotics. He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 19.
