Portion Of Farmington Canal Trail Closed In Hamden
Officials announced that a portion of the trail is closed due to recent inclement weather.

HAMDEN, CT — A portion of the Farmington Canal Trail in Hamden has been closed due to the recent inclement weather, officials announced on Wednesday night. Public Works and Parks Director Craig Cesare ordered the closure of the Farmington Canal Linear Park from the Dixwell Avenue Overpass to Skiff Street until further notice.
“Tree damage, limb clearing, and flooding have attributed to this decision for the good of public safety,” according to a press release from the mayor’s office. “The Town will update this notification when conditions on the Canal Trail have improved, and the well-being of the public can be assured to reopen the Trail section.”
