Public Meeting In Hamden Scheduled

A public information meeting is scheduled on the draft Plan of Conservation and Development.

From Town of Hamden: The Town of Hamden has scheduled a public information meeting to get comments and feedback from Hamden residents on the draft 2019-2029 Plan of Conservation and Development for the community.

The meeting is scheduled for:

  • April 23, 2019
  • 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Hamden Middle School - Auditorium
  • 2623 Dixwell Avenue

Following the public meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission will review community input and consider changes to the Draft Plan. The current Plan of Conservation and Development was adopted in 2004 with some updates in 2009.

A Plan of Conservation and Development is an advisory document used by the Planning and Zoning Commission and other Town agencies to:

  • Protect the resources important to residents
  • Guide growth and change in Hamden
  • Identify facilities and services needed or wanted to support the community

Hamden residents are encouraged to come to the meeting to help ensure that the Plan of Conservation and Development reflects community goals. “This Plan is an important document which will be used to guide future conservation and development activity over the next decade and beyond,” said Brack Poitier, Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
