Robbery Suspect Chased Through Hamden: PD

The suspect was arrested after he robbed a 7-Eleven in Milford, police said.

HAMDEN CT — A Milford man was arrested after he robbed a Milford 7-Eleven store April 28 and fled from detectives on the highway, according to police. The incident started after Paul Bradley, 38, entered the Boston Post Road store and selected two drinks and a pack of cigarettes.

Bradley then pulled out a large knife and demanded the clerk give him money from the register, police said. The clerk put money in a plastic bag and Bradley fled. To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Police gathered video surveillance and obtained an arrest warrant for Bradley the same day. He was spotted by detectives in Hamden driving in the same vehicle he used for the robbery, police said.

Bradley ignored commands from patrol cruisers to stop and a chase started. Eventually the pursuit ended on the Merritt Parkway and Bradley was taken into custody, police said.

Hamden and State Police assisted.

Bradley was charged with first-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny, engaging police in a pursuit and reckless driving. Bond was set at $101,000.
