Sex Offender Charged With Failing To Register: Hamden Police

The man was wanted on a warrant, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police have arrested a Waterbury man on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender. Hamden Police responded to the Waterbury Police Department on May 30 regarding a “warrant service,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said Alan Zanavich, who was wanted on a warrant by Hamden Police, was in the custody of Waterbury Police.

Zanavich, 53, of South Main Street in Waterbury, was charged with four counts of failure to register-sex offender. Zanavich, who was detained on a court-ordered $50,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on June 11.
