Sleeping Giant State Park Closed In Hamden
Several state parks are closed after receiving extensive damage during Tuesday's storm, according to the state DEEP.

HAMDEN, CT — Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden is one of several state parks and forests currently closed due to extensive damage from Tuesday’s storm, the Connecticut DEEP announced on Wednesday morning.
“Those Parks will remain closed until an assessment can be made of damage,” the DEEP said in a post on Facebook. “We strongly urge the public to stay out of these parks and any other area with obvious tree damage until this assessment and hazard mitigation can take place. Additional parks may be added to this list as assessments continue.”
