Wanted Car Burglary Suspect Located While Police Investigate 'Suspicious' Activity Report at 3 a.m.: Hamden PD
The suspect, charged in connection to a Sept. 29 car burglary, was located while police investigated a report of people going through cars.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man’s luck ran out when he was arrested at 3 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant in connection to two car burglaries that occurred in September.
Hamden Police arrested Antwan Lucky, 21, after officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area of Underhill Road at about 3 a.m. on Dec. 27, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
The warrant stemmed from an incident on Sept. 29 in which police responded to a Manilla Avenue address on the report of a theft from a motor vehicle.

Smith said investigation revealed that two motor vehicles were forcibly entered but the complainants did not report any missing items in that incident.
The investigation led to a court-approved arrest warrant for Lucky.

At about 3 a.m. on Dec. 27, Central Communications advised officers that a group of individuals were “going through cars” in the area of Underhill Road.
Police searched the area and located Lucky. A computer inquiry verified that he was wanted on an active arrest warrant, stemming from the Manila Avenue incident, according to Smith.
Lucky was promptly arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.
Lucky, of Church Street, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal trespass. He was detained on a court-ordered $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 6.
