Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested After Foot Chase: Hamden Police
Police say the suspect discarded two bags of crack cocaine while fleeing from officers.

HAMDEN, CT — A suspected drug dealer was arrested in the backyard of a State Street residence after fleeing from police on foot, according to Hamden Police.
Members of the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of Brandon Sessions, 26, at about 5 p.m. on Sept. 8, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said officers observed Sessions seated inside of his motor vehicle smoking marijuana. As officers approached, Sessions fled on foot on State Street, according to Smith.

Sessions was arrested shortly thereafter, in the rear yard of a State Street residence.
Officers seized two bags of crack cocaine that was discarded by Sessions, according to Smith.

Sessions, 26, of the 1700 block of State Street in Hamden, was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and interfering with a police officer.
Sessions, who was detained on a $20,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 22.
