HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating an incident that involved “suspicious activity” at a school bus stop in Hamden in which a man asked a group of teens to get into his car. On Oct. 1, Hamden Police met with a 15-year-old girl who reported that she was waiting for a school bus at the corner of Newhall Street and Marlboro Street, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the teen indicated that she, along with two other students, were approached by an older man who asked the group to get in his car. The male than exited his vehicle and “began making noises,” according to Smith. The teen told police that the group immediately ran away from the bus stop.
The man is described as black, 45 years of age, 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a thin build, and he had visible scabs. To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.
