Teen, 15, In Stolen Vehicle Caught By Police K-9: Hamden Police
"It appears that K-9 Knight "flushed" him out of hiding," said Police Capt. Ronald Smith.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden Police K-9 helped apprehend a New Haven teen, 15, who is accused of driving a reported stolen car, police said.
On Dec. 17, Officer Christina Giori saw a stolen motor vehicle traveling northbound on Dixwell Avenue. Giori tried to stop the car but the driver, a 15-year-old New Haven teen, failed to stop, police said.
Moments later, Sgt. Jason Venditto saw the unoccupied stolen vehicle parked on Belmont Street. Venditto and his K-9 partner “Knight” subsequently went through several yards in an attempt to locate the driver, police said.

Shortly thereafter, the driver emerged and was arrested by Officer Robert O’Neill. "It appears that K-9 Knight “flushed” him out of hiding," said Police Capt. Ronald Smith.
The teen is charged with second-degree larceny and interfering with a police officer.
