Teen, 18, Shot While Driving In Hamden: Police
The teen went to the hospital after the incident and police say the vehicle was damaged by several gunshots.

HAMDEN, CT — An 18-year-old Hamden resident was hospitalized after being shot in the arm while driving in his vehicle early Thursday morning, according to police. At about 12:45 a.m. on Nov. 1, Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Hamden Park Drive on the report of “shots fired,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Shortly thereafter, Central Communications was notified by personnel from Yale- New Haven Hospital (Saint Raphael Campus), that a shooting victim had arrived with a gunshot wound to the arm, Smith said. To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Police determined that the victim of the shooting, an 18-year-old Hamden resident, was shot while traveling in his motor vehicle, according to Smith. The victim’s vehicle was damaged by several gunshots, Smith said.
