Teen Robbed At Gunpoint In Hamden: Police
A 17-year-old victim was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted by two acquaintances, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — One teen has been arrested and police are continuing to investigate after a 17-year-old Hamden resident was robbed at gunpoint and punched in the head last week. At about 8 p.m. on Oct. 11, Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Woodin Street on the report of an armed street robbery, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that a 17-year-old Hamden resident, walked into an “alley way” with two acquaintances. One of his acquaintances “pulled out a black handgun” and placed it into his stomach and they then stole his cellphone and credit cards, according to Smith.
The victim was then “punched in the head’ and fell to the ground, Smith said. Hamden Fire Rescue responded and rendered medical assistance. To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Shortly thereafter, Hamden Police arrested a 17-year-old Hamden resident. He was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on Oct. 30.
