Teens Who Ran from Hamden Facility Found With Stolen Car

Teens from a Hamden facility were located in Rocky Hill with a stolen car, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Two teenagers who ran off from a juvenile facility in Hamden were caught with a stolen car in Rocky Hill, police said.

Early Tuesday morning, officers observed a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old in front of Gugliotti’s Salon on Silas Deane Highway.

A suspicious persons investigation was initiated, and it was determined that both had left a state-residential facility in Hamden.

Police determined they had stolen a vehicle that was found parked in the lot.

Both were arrested and charged with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. The juvenile was turned back over to Children’s Center in Hamden while the other was held on a $10,000 bond and was subsequently transported to New Britain Superior Court for arraignment., police said.
