Threat Investigated At Hamden High School
All schools are following 'stay put' protocols as a precaution.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating several threatening emails that were sent to school officials in Hamden on Monday morning. Police responded to Hamden High School, 2040 Dixwell Avenue, just before 10 a.m. on Jan. 14 on a threatening complaint, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said a preliminary investigation has revealed that the Hamden High School administration, as well as the Hamden Board of Education has received several threatening emails.
“Students are currently following ‘Stay Put’ protocols,” Smith said. “At this time, no one is allowed to either enter or exit the school. When necessary, police are escorting students and staff members both in and out of the school.”

The Hamden Police Department Detective Division is conducting the investigation and police are maintaining high visibility at all public schools, according to Smith.
