Woman Fired Gun During Argument With Boyfriend: Hamden Police
Police say the woman fired a gunshot into the front lawn during the argument.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden woman was arrested after police say she fired a gunshot into her front lawn during an argument with her boyfriend earlier this week. Police responded to the incident, which occurred on Briarcliff Road, on April 3.
Shannon Mosca and her boyfriend were involved in an argument when Mosca fired a single round from a gun into the front lawn, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Her 3-year-old daughter watched the incident unfold from a nearby window, Smith said.
Mosca was arrested by Hamden Police soon after the incident at her place of employment, according to Smith.

Mosca, 28, of Briarcliff Road, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit and risk of injury to a minor. Mosca, who was detained on a $5,000 bond, was scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Thursday.
