Yankees-Red Sox, Farmers Market Part of Friday Festivities in Hamden
Tonight's Yankees-Red Sox game will be shown on the big screen at Town Center Park and there will be food trucks. Read details here.

HAMDEN, CT — A day full of events is scheduled in Hamden on Friday, beginning with the weekly Friday Farmer’s Market and culminating with a simulcast of tonight’s Yankees-Red Sox showdown on a 40-foot screen at Town Center Park.
Things get under way with the Farmer’s Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hamden Public Library, located at 2901 Dixwell Avenue.

- PopCentric Gourmet Ice Pops

- Elm City Kettle Corn
- Sugar Bakery & Sweet Shop

In addition, fresh produce from three local farms, Tuttle Ridge Farms, Borelli Farms, and Amelia's Greenhouse and Florist, will be on hand. Additionally, there will be a number of local organizations and handmade craft vendors.
Also, the Hamden Police Department will be offering special information on current classes and programs and P.L.A.C.E. Children's Museum & Creative Arts Center will be offering a number of children's activities.

After the market, the Yankees-Red Sox game will be shown in the park on the big screen.
The first pitch is at 7 p.m., but come early to experience the Redsox Mobile Showcase and S-Town Entertainment. The Showcase kicks off at 4 p.m., and DJ Rachel begins playing at 4:30 p.m.
Several food trucks will be on hand, as well. Make sure to bring blankets and chairs to watch the game.
