4 Charged In Connection With Hartford Cold Case Homicide: Police
Four people have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old woman in Hartford in 2005.

HARTFORD, CT — Four people have been charged in the fatal shooting of a Hartford woman in 2005, according to state police. Police received a complaint of a woman shot at 131 Martin St. in Hartford at 11:08 p.m. on June 21, 2005.
Police found that Dante Davis, 21, was standing in front of that address with her boyfriend when armed assailants opened fire in that area. Davis was struck in the head by gunfire. She was transported to the hospital where she later died of her wounds.
State police said that following an extensive investigation that included following up on dozens of tips, conducting numerous witness interviews, and the examination of cellphone records, as well as an extensive grand jury investigation, four people were charged in the case.

Brandon Jones, 34; Shane Henriques, 35; and Maurice Snowden, 38, were charged with murder. Victoria Harris, 33, was charged with tampering with physical evidence and perjury.
The investigation was conducted by the Cold Case Unit, which was established in the Office of the Chief State's Attorney in May 1998 to focus special investigative efforts on crimes that have gone unsolved.

The unit includes inspectors and prosecutors from the Division of Criminal Justice and investigators with the Hartford Police Department, Connecticut State Police, the state Department of Correction and at various times, other local, state, and national law enforcement agencies.
“The investigators in this case worked diligently to bring this case to a successful resolution,” Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Fahey said in a statement. “Ms. Davis was an innocent victim and for the past 17 years, detectives assigned to this case never forgot her and the family and friends she left behind. These recent arrests show the Cold Case Unit’s continued commitment to work tirelessly to resolve each case that comes before us.”
