Dunkin' Park hosts Walk ALS Hartford, over 600 participants brave nor'easter to raise $137K (fox61.com) — Hundreds of residents packed Dunkin' Park in Hartford yesterday, braving a nor'easter to raise more than $137,500 for ALS United Connecticut's care and support programs. Organizers highlighted how the Walk ALS Hartford unites families facing ALS, and noted two additional walks coming up in New Haven and Westport for those who still want to participate or donate.
   

2. Hans Zimmer Announces 'The Next Level' North American Tour Dates for 2027 Arena Shows (yardbarker.com) — Hartford will host the opening night of Hans Zimmer's 2027 North American arena tour, with the first show set for Feb. 17 at PeoplesBank Arena. The Oscar-winning composer will bring a 19-piece ensemble, electronic elements, and large-scale visuals, turning his famous film scores into a full concert experience before heading on to other major U.S. cities.
   

3. New York Rangers Assign Trio to Hartford Wolf Pack (oursportscentral.com) — Hartford hockey fans will see three new faces this season, as the New York Rangers assigned defenseman Marc Del Gaizo and forwards Anton Blidh and Glenn Gawdin to the Hartford Wolf Pack. The trio brings extensive AHL experience and scoring punch, with Blidh returning as the Pack's longest-tenured player and Gawdin arriving after a 51-point season in Ontario.
   

4. Connecticut consumers could see home improvement scams after nor'easter (fox61.com) — Hartford-based state officials are warning residents to watch for home repair scams after this weekend's nor'easter, especially from door-to-door "storm chasers" demanding cash or pressuring quick decisions. They urge Hartford and Connecticut homeowners to verify licenses, get written contracts, contact insurers first, and report suspicious offers to the Attorney General or Department of Consumer Protection.
