Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Offers Civil War-themed Tour of the Historic Cemetery

Cedar Hill Cemetery hosts Civil War-themed tour.

Join Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 6:30 pm for the evening walking tour, "My Dearest Beloved Darling: Civil War Letters."

Surviving correspondence from the “War of Rebellion” offers a glimpse into the lives of those who experienced it. Hartford Civil War researcher Mary Falvey shares stories of fear and concern and love and valor found in the war letters of Cedar Hill residents.

Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue in Hartford. Admission to the program is $5.00 and free for Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation members. Advanced reservations are not required. The walking tour begins at the flagpole at the end of the entrance drive.
