Cigna ‘Adopts’ The Village for Families & Children

Cigna 'Adopts' The Village for Families & Children for two year partnership.

Cigna’s Brett Browchuk, Senior Vice President, Service Operations, (back row, center right) presented a check to Galo Rodriguez, The Village President & CEO (back row, center left) for $10,000 to renovate a classroom for children in The Village’s Extended Day Treatment (EDT) program in Hartford.

This is one of the many ways Cigna’s Service Operations team has supported The Village during its two-year partnership. Cigna employees have also helped plan and organize events (like Field Day held in July) and collected school supplies and toys for children served by The Village. Cigna has sponsored several Village events and held an information session for employees on child trauma, presented by Village staff.

The Village’s EDT programs, located in Hartford, Manchester, Meriden and Middletown, help children who have disruptive emotional and behavioral challenges learn to express their feelings and deal with conflict in healthy, productive ways. The program also provides support and guidance to families − to connect them with other resources in the schools and community and build a foundation for success for their children.
