The Connecticut Higher Education Trust (CHET) is the only direct-sold 529 college savings program that provides a Connecticut income tax deduction. The CHET 529 plan is designed to help families save for future college costs. The CHET 529 College Savings Plan is administered by the Connecticut State Treasurer’s Office, and managed by TIAA-CREF Tuition Financing, Inc.
