Update: East Hartford Crash Cleared

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Interstate 84 in East Hartford heading into the Hartford area was a mess Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash, but it has since been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, three right lines of the I-84 east were closed, leading to traffic delays in the area. As of 4:09 p.m., two lanes were closed.

By 4:29 p.m., the accident was cleared, according to the DOT.

State officials said the accident happened between exits 58 and 59.

The accident was reported at 3:19 p.m.
