Hartford Man Fatally Struck By Accused Drunk Driver On I-84
State police said the 22-year-old man was standing on Interstate 84 when he was hit by a car driven by 21-year-old Ileaha Porter.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man died Saturday after he was hit by a car while standing near his disabled vehicle on Interstate 84 in East Hartford, authorities said.
According to a Connecticut State Police crash report, 22-year-old Westley Clemente-Fuentes was driving the wrong way on eastbound I-84 shortly before 3 a.m. when he crashed into a concrete barrier in the left shoulder. The car came to a stop in the left lane, police said.
According to authorities, Clemente-Fuentes got out of the car and was standing in the left lane when he was hit by a car driven by Ileaha Porter, 21, of East Hartford. Porter then fled the scene of the crash, police said.

Clemente-Fuentes was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he died. Two passengers in Clemente-Fuentes' car were uninjured.
According to police, authorities located Porter at Manchester Memorial Hospital, where she showed signs of impairment. Police said Porter also failed a sobriety test.

Porter was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said. She was released on a $10,000 surety bond. A court hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23.
