Hartford A Music, Sports And Traffic Hotspot
Police warn motorists that area roads will be busy as a baseball game, soccer game and high-profile concert take place Saturday night.

HARTFORD, CT — Elton John says Saturday night is all right for fighting.
But in Hartford this Saturday, it might not be all right for driving. (And, as police will say, it's NEVER all right for fighting.)
Three outdoor events are going on simultaneously in the city and, with weather expected to be perfect for late July, big crowds are likely for all three.

As a result, Hartford police told NBC 30that folks driving in the city will have to, simply, be patient and expect to sit in traffic.

• The Hartford Yard Goats are playing the Portland Sea Dogs at 6:05 p.m., with fireworks after the game.
• Hartford Athletic, a second-division professional soccer team in the city, is taking on Birmingham Legion FC at Dillon Stadium at 7 p.m.
• Music superstar Luke Bryan, meanwhile, is having a concert at the Xfinity Theatre at 7 p.m.
Hartford police recommended to WVIT NBC 30 that people give themselves more time to arrive and, perhaps, try and arrive earlier than usual given that so many people will be trying to get to their destination at, about, the same time.
