Mary Pease Kearney, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2016, a few days short of her 99th birthday. Mary was the daughter of Frances Hallisey and Charles Pease.
She was married to the late John T Kearney (Jack) for 50 years. She is survived by her four children Claire McCorry and husband Robert, Elaine Kearney, John Timothy Kearney and wife Anne, and Christopher Kearney and wife Cameron. Mary leaves 7 grandchildren (Brendan, Bryan, Kate, Kristen, Kimberly, Tomas and Taylor, and 4 great grandchildren (Aidan, Kevin, Grace, and Will).
Mary graduated from Hartford High School and worked at the Aetna Life Insurance Company where she met Jack. After his return from World War II, they married and settled on Main Street for their entire lives. They enjoyed golfing, traveling to Florida in the winters, and other trips around the United States. Mary was an avid bridge player into her senior years. Mary and Jack delighted in their grandchildren and their accomplishments and later, in the births of the four great grandchildren. Mary was a member of St Francis of Assisi Church, a spiritual person who always enjoyed a good laugh.
