Highway Crash In East Hartford Cleared: UPDATE

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A two-vehicle crash on Route 2 in East Hartford Thursday afternoon caused traffic problems for motorists in the greater Hartford area, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the accident happened on Route 2 West between exits 3 and 2E.

As a result, the two center lanes were closed to traffic, then the DOT reported the right shoulder was closed.

The crash was first reported at 3:36 p.m. and it is now no longer on the DOT's incident report list.
