I-84 Crash Cleared In East Hartford: UPDATE

EAST HARTFORD, CT — The PM commute in East Hartford became messy after a serious, three-vehicle collision on Interstate 84 caused significant traffic backups Wednesday afternoon, but the accident has now been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash was on I-84 West between exits 54 and 51, resulting in the closure of two right-hand lanes.

The crash was first reported at 4:07 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
