Man, 32, Dead After Being Hit By Vehicle In Hartford: PD
The incident happened Saturday night, with state police still investigating.
HARTFORD, CT — State police are investigating a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in Hartford Saturday night that killed a 32-year-old Torrington man.
Police said the victim has been identified as Raphael E. Rodriguez, 32, of Hotchkiss Place, Torrington.
According to Connecticut State Police, Rodriguez was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 84 westbound in Hartford at 8:14 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

Police said a 2012 Honda Pilot being driven by a 33-year-old Vernon woman was traveling westbound past the entrance ramp to Interstate 91, in the left lane of two.
That's when Rodriguez was located in the left lane in front of the vehicle, police said.

State police said the Honda Pilot struck the victim, then came to a controlled rest in the left lane.
Rodriguez suffered "serious, life-threatening" injuries and was rushed to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Vernon woman was taken to Hartford Hospital with suspected minor injuries, according to police.
