United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut announced today that it received a $260,000 grant from Eversource Energy in support of its 2023-2024 Community Campaign. These critical funds will support United Way’s strategic Onward860 vision to end poverty in all its forms by closing gaps in child literacy, wages, housing and life expectancy across the region. Since 2014, Eversource has donated nearly $3 million cumulatively to United Way through corporate grants.
