United Way Receives Community Partner Award

United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is the recipient of the 2019 Windham Public Schools Community Partner Award. The organization was recognized for its support of school programs and special contributions to education in Windham Public Schools. United Way mobilizes people and organizations in its 40-town region to give, advocate and volunteer to promote child and youth success, ensure families are financially secure, provide access to health-related services and supports, and ensure basic needs are met. Mario Conjura, Chair, Windham Region United Way Advisory Board, accepted the award from Dr. Patricia Garcia, Superintendent, Windham Public Schools.
