Vehicle Inferno In Hartford Cleared: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — A vehicle fire Monday afternoon prompted authorities to shut down Interstate 84 in Hartford, resulting in a large traffic backup, but it has since reopened.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the vehicle blaze was on I-84 west between exits 50 and 48.

The situation was first reported at 2:22 p.m. and it it no longer listed on the DOT's inciden list.
