West Hartford Residents Performing Lead Roles in Nutcracker

Local residents selected to perform lead roles and other roles in holiday family show, "The Nutcracker" by Fisher Ballet Productions

Several West Hartford residents are performing leading roles in Fisher Ballet Productions the Nutcracker, directed by Liane Fisher. Madison Valdez is performing as the main character “Clara.” Madison attends Alyce Carella’s Dance Center and has studied ballet with Ms. Fisher. Elizabeth Fleming is performing as the Snow Queen and the Dew Drop Fairy. In addition West Hartford resident Yoshio Chandler is performing as the Nutcracker Prince, and Kathleen Reichenberger is performing as the Tea soloist and the Mouse King, among other roles. Other West Hartford residents performing in the show are Veronica Crichton, and Jorge, Marcia, Julia and Avery Valdez. The Nutcracker is playing at Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Turnpike, Manchester Connecticut on December 16th at 1:00pm and 6:00pm.

Students from several Connecticut dance schools auditioned in September and were cast in this holiday classic about a little girl who receives a Nutcracker for Christmas and has a magical adventure with the Nutcracker, fighting giant mice alongside toy soldiers under the Christmas tree, meeting snow fairies and traveling to Candyland.
